The PCI128 is supported in stock kernels (it works here). MIDI is a bit
flaky, but not many people really use it anyway.

AFAIK the Diamond card is nVidia TNT based, which means it is supported.

Almost all hardware is Linux compatible. A handful of NICs and modems
cause problems, but the USR you are using will be just fine.
