In last week's Computing - the trade magazine - www.vnunet.com - the
headline reads " BT says ADSL over ISDN is impossible".  The report
goes on to say

"BT's asynchronous digital subscriber line (ADSL) will be sold in the
UK requiring new lines and extra customer cost - despite the fact its
German rival Deutsche Telekom is offering the same service over
existing ISDN lines......

.....  Deutsche Telekom has been offering DSL alongside ISDN dialup
services on the same copper pair line for more than a year, however, -
exactly what BT claims is not possible."

Do I begin to believe that things would be better if they were run by
Deutsche Telekom ?  Perhaps a buyout would do a lot of good ?
