Someone's wound down the temperature in our machine room to 16 degrees
Celcius (sp?). At VUW, they keep it at around 16, and 20%-30% humidity,
IIRC. It's not just your computers you should be concerned about - UPS
batteries are quite sensitive to environmental temperature (they don't like
hot *or* cold, and having them at either extreme can shorten their expected
life dramatically). OTOH, I'm yet to see a place that even performs
regular maintenance on their UPS, so that's probably irrelevant <sigh>.

Cheers

If the designers of X-window built cars, there would be no fewer than five
steering wheels hidden about the cockpit, none of which followed the same
prinicples -- but you'd be able to shift gears with your car stereo. Useful
feature, that.
