[Sheflug] sorted probs?

hi,

some of you may have noticed my plea's for help of late.......

i seem to have resolved most of them for now :-)

i am, however, curious to find out what caused the probs in the first place
though.......

first up was the problem of netscape making network connections when first
started and not allowing user interaction until a network connection was
established.

this seems to have been resolved by creating a new home directory and
reconfiguring all the app's i use.

second was the problem of KFM locking up when i looked at one particular
directory on a VFAT partition.

this has been resolved by using mounting the partition using binary conversion
in /ect/fstab as opposed to conv=auto.

there's nothing worse than a fault fixing itself or at least not knowing (or
understanding) why a problem has disapeared. if anyone can shed any light on
these problems, i'd be very greatful :-)
