nmap is probably the best port scanner in the world, it's at
www.insecure.org or available as an RPM from rpmfind.net if that's your
thing.
Nessus is OK (but sometimes a bit wierd) it looks like it could be really
useful when I get it figured out. :)

Some people swear by SATAN but I can't stand the little bugger.
(That's the vulnerability testing tool, not the prince of darkness)
