Yep, that's BT for you :) I've now been offered a "low cost" Home
Highway line one year after I needed it. They have been very quick to
point out how fast and efficient their service is. And of course...
it's "cheap".
First time they started out this way was back in the 1980's when the
first IBM and Compaq 286's and 386's came along. That was when they
really began to grab the loot from home users. Then Maggie privatised
them to get rid of a monopoly and look where we are now. Completely
uncontrollable !
