Umm...I going to give a totally helpless solution: "don't use mandrake" :)

Seriously though, from what I keep hearing and reading about it, its got more 
bugs than the amazon rain forest...a friend tried it, found a bug, fixed it, 
ocntinued, found another bug, and this went on...he gave it up as a bad job 
in the end. They've also apparently colourised the gcc front-end, which 
breaks Emacs' gcc extentions (eg, jump to the line an error is on - sorta IDE 
like).

Skip to SuSE/Redhat/Debian instead.
