Seconded.  Mandrake consistently imposes UI policy on underlying
tools, often by hardcoding changes to the upstream source.  Their
developers often do not participate in the upstream development
process, either, which means the changes are often totally wrong.

YMMV, but using this distro means depending on its developers.  Think
Red Hat without enough resources to get it right enough of the time.

It's too bad, because they get ease-of-use kudos.
