[Sheflug] My partitioning thinko
Greetings,
About a year ago when I bought this box I dreamt up a plan as to how to
partition the HD. I reckoned swap /boot /dos and / I also left 5 gig at
the end of the drive thinking I might want to have a play with Solaris
or something. All along I was completely unaware that you can only have
4 primary IDE partitions. Consequently I have 5 gig I cannot touch in
anyway. the partition order is
hda1 /dos Fat32
hda2 /boot ext2
hda3 / ext2
hda4 swap swap
Is it possible for me to delete swap extend hda3 by the 5 gig and put
swap back without data loss and without buying some partition software?
any idea how I would go about it?
thanks
Simon.
