Yes, LaTeX is very good. I use it for all university related documents,
just to add that certain professional look.

I find that SO runs just slightly slower than acceptably on my K6-2/500
with 128Mb PC133 SDRAM. I have a UDMA33 hdd capable of a hdparm transfer
rate of 17Mb/S

I use WP8, and even on my P233 laptop with 32Mb, its just lovely, so for
anything requiring a little more DTP than word processing, thats the one.

Abiword is also good (and VERY fast), but slightly lacking in features at
the moment. Still, not long now and we will have an excellent WP to play
with!
