 That's exactly the reason I'm trying to figure out how to use vi.

 My OpenBSD boxen only have vi (got emacs as a package to add to one
machine - not the other to keep space free).

 All I need to do is edit /etc/whatever and that's the lot!

 If I ever code or do big edits, out with XEmacs, on with
set-global-font-lock and off we go!
