[Sheflug] Charset not available

A small problem!

I have started to receive e-mails sent in HTML. When I try to read them with
KMail, I get an error message:  

Charset windows-1252 not available.

Clicking on OK loses the error message, but the typeface of the e-mail is
very small - I guess only about 7 point - and not easy to read.

In   /usr/X11R6/X11/fonts/encodings   there are several
microsoft-cp1252.enc.gz   files. Are these the missing charsets?

If they are, do they need to be installed somewhere? If they do need to be
installed, where? and how do I install   .enc.gz   files, please?
