[Sheflug] smbmount & slackware 7

Help!

My problem is how do I mount WinNT shares under Slackware 7? I have samba set up perfectly, browsing works fine & can access homedirs/shares from my M$ boxes OK, & I can use smbclient to browse my
M$ shares but I should be able to mount my shares with say:

	smbmount //snot/mp3 /mnt/mp3

but I get an error about there being no such device. Why it no work? I've found this question posted on the net several times with the stock answer:

	smbmount //snot/mp3 -c "mount /mnt/mp3"

but smbmount doesn't even take a '-c' arg so that's no use at all.

Any clues? Anybody got this to work or is that too much to hope for?

thanks

A. Basterfield
