Maybe...if I knew how things were setup now :) I run qmail without a problem 
(qmail nice ... qmail worked when exim didn't about 4 years ago when exim was 
realtively new).

How's qmail (and associated environment setup) - and whats the bounce coming 
back...it's unclear where the destination of the above email was meant to be 
(yourself? but you said things are being re-written, so maybe external?)...a 
copy of the bounce *might* help :)
