[Sheflug] Reply-To headers this time.
I've decided that mailservers are a pain in the behind.
More accurately badly configured mailservers, and bizarre standards (or
maybe people just not adhering to standards, I dunno).
Obviously my Qmail config wasn't (as still isn't) perfectly set up to
deal with all the wierdness required of it because it's not an internet
visible host.
I have now set up user masquarading so that Qmail recognises that I
should be known as TheEnglishman [at] ecosse.net for email, and not my local
designation of baz [at] flux.localdomain.
Now, I have (hopefully) one final problem to sort this out once and for
all:
I am now seeing:
Feb 2 20:34:18 flux qmail: 981146058.264330 delivery 115: failure:
Connected_to_62.172.47.250_but_sender_was_rejected./Remote_host_said:_550_rejected:_cannot_route_to_sender_<baz [at] flux.localdomain>/
I've also seen in headers the following:
X-BadReturnPath: baz [at] flux.localdomain rewritten as
TheEnglishman [at] ecosse.net using "Reply-To" header
It seems that Qmail is now adjusting emails so they appear to be from
TheEnglishman [at] ecosse.net (baz..not rewritten as..TheEnglishman..)
however the return path doesn't seem to right!!!
Arrgh!!!!!
Could someone help me out here?
Baz.
