I usually upgrade to the latest debs available. At the moment,
it has been running sort of bleeding edge for the last month or two. It
is a bit slow (kswapd seems to kick-in fairly quickly, but then again,
I don't like dynamic memory allocation in my software :D), I believe due
to more to memory usage than anything else. 2.0 had the same problem. In
my computer at home (K6/266 MHz, 64 Megs) is as fast/useable as it is in
my computer at work (they have the same memory).

On the other hand, it is very stable as far as I can tell, and
konqueror is an absolute winner. I just don't know how could I have
managed without "gg:" and "dj:" for all these years (for those not in
the knowlegde, "gg:this that" searches for "this that" in google, dj is
the deja.com equivalent and a myriad others. Really handy easy stuff).

The only annoying thing with kde (and this is debian specific)
is the fact that if you install task-kde, it installs about everything
and his mother. The myriad of kde games, kde toys and all the rest of
it. It also installs kde-office, which has a rather nice presentation
creator (at least it looks flashy enough to me: it does fade screens and
useless crap like that). Real men use FOILTeX, of course :-)

	José
