Re: [Sheflug] Parallel IDE CD-ROM frustrations

Hi All, (especially Will)

My parallel port doesn't seem to show up anywhere!

Okay, I've checked my /proc/ioports. It doesn't mention my parallel
port at all! Here it is, in its entirety. The trouble is, I don't
really understand what it's telling me. (Okay, so it's memory
addresses mapped against devices, but what do I do to make sure the
parallel port gets a mention?)

====begin /proc/ioports ====

0000-001f : dma1

03f7-03f7 : floppy DIR
03f8-03ff : serial(set)

==== end /proc/ioports ====

Any idea what I should do now?

Cheers,

James
