Aye, use Qmail - enter mailserver into /var/qmail/control/smtproutes
:-)
Oh, and serialmail to deal with the intermittent connection.

Joking aside, it seems that Exim is pretty straightforward to
configure - which is nice.
What is it that makes people still use Sendmail (and programs like
Bind for that matter) when there are good (if not better)
alternatives?
IIRC the vuw.ac.nz servers are on Sendmail - why?
What is it that QMail/PostFix/Exim can't do that
6-monthly-security-nightmare-Sendmail can achieve?
Going back to comments about MAPS/ORBS - I'm in two minds just how
useful they are. Sure they block out dynamic IPs and certain poorly
config'ed mailservers - but there are still plenty of ways around the
system for the professional spammer.
I guess it does give some people a reason to make sure their servers
are set up properly (myself and Craig for a start :-) so I guess it's
better than nothing.
