your disk is knackered....back up & replace while you can.
The "max no of mounts" message is normal..... The system is really designed
as a server, and constant reboots (ie power on, work for a bit, power off
when done) means to a server OS on ehting...trouble. So, after a set number
of reboots the system checks the disks for consistency. You can alter this by
using tune2fs....I blieve you can also get at this via Yast in the Expert
mode. tune2fs will giv edire warnings about not running on mounted
filesystems....in my experince htis can be ignored when simply changing the
max boot figure. I always used to set mine to 64, I believe the default is
rather lower....
