Hi
No problem detaching monitor from a working computer (at least I've done
it many times). Not quite sure about the kbd though... Especially if it is
a PS/2 or USB one... Hope somebody will clarify... Might need to leave one
attached.

What do you mean? As soon as your computer boot-up process finishes, if it
is configured properly, it is ready to accept any connections, it has been
configured for (ssh, telnet, ftp, http, rlogin,...).
