Further to my last post about reading something about it.

I found it in the docs for nv_glx, which basically says that TNT2 M64 users
(ie, me :(, should rebuild the driver from source, with a couple of slight
modifications. Don't *REALLY* like the sound of that (never could get it to
work right under SuSE 7.0), and it works so well for 3D at the moment (tuxracer
RULES!), that it seems a shame to break it :-((

So, looks like system destruction, erm, administration (at least, console
based, as opposed to x-term) is destined only for my Debian laptop (mmm...)

Unless I pluck up courage and have a few hours spare?
