I've done similar things many, many times.
along with the normal upgrading kernels and forgetting to run lilo.
and accidently deleteing kernel images, then trying to reboot.

the only reason I check the Changes everytime is a fear that eventually
I'll need a new /bin/mount and not notice :-)
