Re: [Sheflug] CD-Recorder Configuration
Hi Baz,
I have a similar problem with an RH6.2 system I have but I don't seem to be
able to follow your suggestions. For a start I don't have a 'modules.conf'
file - I do have a 'conf.modules' file but I'm not sure it is the same
thing. Its present contents are as follows:-
alias eth0 tulip
alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc
My CD R/W drive is detected as hdd and a link exists in the /dev directory
to make it seen as /dev/cdrom1 which is how it appears in my fstab file:-
/dev/hda6 / ext2 defaults 1 1
/mnt/cdrom /mnt/cdrom supermount fs=iso9660,dev=/dev/cdrom 0 0
/mnt/cdrom /mnt/cdrom supermount fs=iso9660,dev=/dev/cdrom1 0 0
/dev/hdb1 /usr ext2 defaults 1 2
/mnt/floppy /mnt/floppy supermount fs=vfat,dev=/dev/fd0 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
/dev/hda5 swap swap defaults 0 0
So, should I be putting the extra lines you suggest in my conf.modules file
or should I create a new modules.conf file and do I have to change my fstab
entry from /mnt/cdrom1 to /dev/hdd to make it conform? Anything else I
should know?
Thanks,
Ian
