[Sheflug] Re: Wrox books



Some topics are skimmed rather too thinly to have any real use, I agree. For
instance, the PHP chapter creates the front end to the DVD database, and
thats about it. I could work out how it all goes together from the source,
but thats not really the point of a book is it?

Also, I too noticed a distinctly Perl-less area in the book. Bit odd that.
Good otherwise!

I have to admit to not reading the internationalisation bit yet, as I only
speak broken English, so someone else would have to internationalise my
stuff ;)

I have to say, although there are some dodgy moments in that book, the
internationalization stuff (which I presume is the bit you had a hand in?)
was pretty good. One thing I didn't like about the book: no Perl!
