Re: [Sheflug] iso file systems



Can you create (or already have) a small - size of the iso image (680
M?) partition on your hard disk? dd the image there with
dd if=<mandrake.iso> of=/dev/hdx
substituting the name of your image and the partition, then boot with
root=/dev/hdx ro
from a boot-disk... I don't know though how this mandrake disk should work
- is it supposed to be boot and root disk? Or are you supposed to boot
from a floppy, which will start an installation programme on it? Tomsrtbt
(minimal linux on 1 floppy) might help too.
