Um, not much. /var/cache maybe, or trim your mail spool. (Or move
/var/spool onto a separate partition)

Fetchmail delivers local mail via sendmail/postfix/exim/etc. listening on
localhost:25. Is sendmail (or equiv.) running? Is the port open in
/etc/hosts.allow?
