Not last time I looked, it didn't. On my RedHat machine, I get the RedHat
update channel and the Desktop channel. Maybe RH6.1 specific though - I know
I'm not the only one with that problem.

Now that Ximian 1.4 is out that's not really the case. Most of Evolution is
now stabilised - but anyway, any extra stuff if does install doesn't affect
anything else on your system. 

On the subject of Ximian GNOME, it's pretty good once you get it going, but
the packaging's absolute crap. They shipped a broken Nautilus, the Debian
stuff isn't working at all, it's still effort. And the Evolution Dailies
seem to have disappeared from the face of the earth.

Ho hum.
