[Sheflug] rtl8139.c dropped in latest kernel?
Hi,
I have finally decided to update my kernel to 2.4 (2.4.4, to be
accurate). I was surprised to see that the rtl8139 driver is no longer
in the kernel tree, but has been completely replaced by the 8139too
driver (which is another implementation of the driver). This driver was
said to be plagued with bugs (not that I've found any so far, but) in
the past, but I was just curious whether the choice of 8139too over the
rtl8139 was a bug or a feature... It is annoying to change the modutils
scripts to reflect the change :-)
