Opera doesnt need it.
beta 8 works here, without it. (as did beta 6, and beta 7 at least
showed the window, which it wouldnt have done if the render extension
was required)

Try using a different version of opera? dynamic package instead of the
static package?

But, I've had a lot of random crashes with the opera betas. and beta 7
would crash just after showing the main window..

I got to the point where I gave up using opera, and use either mozilla
or konqueror instead, both have their problems, but konqueror is at
least as fast as opera, as has less problems rendering some sites.
