Try typing "ctrl-a ?" when screen is running for the keystrokes. :)

In short, keys I tend to use:

ctrl-a c	Create new virtual screen
ctrl-a n	Next screen (you can rotate round the screens this way)
ctrl-a d	Detach (exits screen, but the terminals are still
		there so you can reattach to it later, maybe from a
		different terminal)
ctrl-a p	Previous screen (see: next screen)
ctrl-a k	Kill the current window/terminal. If last window, screen
		will quit.

To reattach a screen session dettached earlier, you invoke screen with 
"screen -r".

There are lots more, but this does me for 95% of the time I use it... :)
