[Sheflug] Modem not working

    I've just got hold of a copy of Debian 2.2, and it doesn't seem to like
my modem one bit. I used to have RedHat 6.0 installed, and that worked fine,
but for some reason this version of Debian doesn't even realise there's a
modem on the serial port. Sending data to the port seems to get a response
from the modem, but nothing is actually returned to the computer.
    The modem itself is a Hayes Accura 56K external, and it works fine
because I use it from windows all the time.
