I'm pleased that someone has raised this question.  I've been having  a chat about this issue and many others  with several people in several countries by telephone.  In fact, I helped RMS to understand that either free software or open source software was something that needed to be a part of the EU project.  He also helped myself to understand that.

My own findings are that Micro$loth are indeed involved in an undercover and covert operation that might involve the FBI and the American Army.   This might involve anything or nothing.  There are also many other issues or sub-issues that are involved with this kinda thing that I'm sure I don't understand myself.

Perhaps we can keep this thread open for a long time ?
