[Sheflug] Video players

Hello all,

The Independent yesterday gave away (and I'm very grateful to them) some
Nick Cave things. Some videos and mp3s.

I tried playing the .mpg files with aKtion. No joy. Now I've never tried
playing anything like that with Linux - but I thought aKtion should've
been able to handle it. It takes an age to load any of the files (I've
copied them to $HOME), and at best I got a very shaky, poorly defined
image and absolutely no audio. I logged back in and used KDE2 - KDE Media
Player and it plays perfectly. Everything. Logged out and went back into
Enlightenment, and from an xterm ran < noatun >

This is what I get:

connect() failed : No such file or directory
	KCrash: crashing.... crashRecursionCounter = 2
KCrash: Application Name = noatun path = <unknown>

and then the KDE Crash handler screen thingy comes up. I tried running
< noatun nickcavefilm.mpg > but the same thing happened.

Two questions: how can I run KDE Media Player in E. And what are all you
Gnome uses to view this kind of thing?

Thanks

Harvey
