Well...I've got the new machine online ...

And /dev/hdb promptly died with 
	{DriveReady SeekComplete DataRequest Error}
	{Uncorrectable Error}
	various ide0 resets that did nothing...

*sigh*

So I'll be vaugely offline until I've got a drive to replace the broken
one...a post mortem will probably be held to see what I can recover. I'm
guessing not a lot. So have to hope I have a good backup (though latest is
about 2 months ago).

Until then I'm stuck in the land of Win95 (though an upgrade to 2k is
planned at some point)...hopefully this message'll get out.

Should be back to normal by the end of the week...when I might write the
entire saga... :-/
