Err, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't plptools for epoc based pdas?
ie psion 5, and 5mx, etc. (and it may work with the 3)

For the palm use jpilot, or gnome-pilot (both of which use pilot-link,
which comes with command line tools as well).

There is also kpilot.. which I've never got to work.
