[Sheflug] Samba
Dear All
Anyone know what this might be about ?
After a month or two of much travelling I've finally been able to
return to my own domestic Samba server which lives under a pile of
junk in a cupboard. Pegasus Mail in New Zealand have much the same
arrangement :)
I've checked the configuration of the Samba server and it passed all
the tests at ... www.sheflug.co.uk/network.htm. Gone back to my own
workstation and tried to login to the server with Komba 2. When I
try to mount the share with Komba I get the following error
message.......
"smbmount exited with errors
smbmnt must be installed suid root for direct user mounts (500,500)
smbclient failed failed:1"
I mounted it with my own name and with root user. Same thing
happened.
Wot does this mean ? How do I get round this and mount my shares on
the Samba server ? I've read man smbmount and nothing in there
explains what this could be about.
Thanks
