I think that somebody has already replied to this but anyway.
The icon is kwvdial and is a front end to the programme wvdial. In SUSE it is
setup using Yast or Yast2 but I am not sure about in Mandrake because
I have never used it.
Within the setup for wvdial in Yast there is an option to type in an INIT string
and you can also type in the DNS addresses for your ISP in another screen.
wvdial also has a smart mode that you can swith on so that it figures out if it
should use PAP or CHAP.
I am sorry that I cannot go into more detail but I am sat at a Win 95 machine at
the moment and my Linux box it at home.
