[Sheflug] teathing problems...
I installed caldera on my machine some time ago... and yes, it does look
pretty and all, but it doesn't seem to allow me to do anything. I am
using the kde desktop, which looks fairly user friendly, but I just
can't seem to work out how to make and save changes.
My main problem is that I want to connect to the internet. I have set up
the modem with one configuration tool, and the only other thing the help
files say is to set up my internet service provider using the kde
control center. Sounds simple... but I can not save any changes made. I
enter the info, but when I exit and go back into the kde cc the info is
no longer there. I think there could possibly be a 'save' button at the
bottom of the form (as there always is in microsoft windows), but I can
not see it as the kde control center window is bigger than my monitor
size. When I resize the window the bottom half of the info is cut off,
so I have no way of looking at the bottom of the form; there appears to
be no way of scrolling to the bottom.
So, could somebody be kind enough to tell me 1) how to resize windows so
that everything within the window is made smaller (i.e. the font size,
icons etc), and therefore I can see all the info within the window on
the screen, and 2) how to save changes made in the kde cc.
thanks,
damian bamforth
(btw, I am dual booting this machine, and am conected to the internet
with windows right now, so all the hardware is in perfect working order)
