[Sheflug] StarOffice 6.0b

Well...

I finally got to the StarOffice download. Having visited a load of other
download servers (download.com, tucows, etc.) I couldn't find SO6 anywhere
(at least, not in Linux form - download.com has got it for Windows though).

118Mb!!!!

Crikey. I've selected the 'Low Bandwidth' option, which lets you download the
pieces in bite-sized chunks. For values of 'bite-sized' equal to '9Mb' :S

I think I'll attempt to download one, maybe two, a night. That way, it'll
only be a week (working at weekends too ;) to get the whole lot! :(

I think I shall attempt to set up my FRIACO line for demand mode, and set up
a funky Perl script to go get 'em ;) Give it a few days of solid download
time (I should be able to get 9Mb in before the two-hour cut off ;) and I'll
have it.

Anyone else got it running? I personally can't wait - I didn't even think the
previous versions were too bad, and this one is supposed to be pretty good.
All I need is good Office '97 interoperability (that's the standard we use at
work) and I'm sorted ..

Cheers,

Alex.
