Eh? Unless they've not updated the docs, kernel 2.4.10 still claims to need 
modutils >= 2.4.2 (according to Documentation/Changes), and I've not read 
anything to the contrary...

Corrections & clarifications welcome :) But I've not had any problems with 
kernel 2.4.10 and modutils 2.4.8.
