[Sheflug] PCI NICs
Hi All,
This is a question that is sorta answered by STFW, but I haven't been
able to get enough info to quite figure the answer out.
I'm looking to get a few 10/100 PCI NICs - they must be supported
under both Linux and FreeBSD.
Currently all my machines are running 3Com 509s (there is an NE2000
kicking around somewhere too), but I'd like to replace a few of them.
I'd prefer to go 3Com again, but I can't figure out the range these
days - the model names I can see don't map too well to the chipset.
Dabs had some OfficeConnect 10/100 NICs at about 30 quid each, but I
can't find any mention of them in all the HCL's (either supported or
unsupported). Model number is 3CSOHO100-TX
Are the 905 series cards supported?
Can anyone suggest good NICs please? What is everyone else using?
Cheers, and sorry for the slightly dumb question.
Baz.
