[Sheflug] Kernel 2.4.10 Problem



Hi,

I have two questions. The easy one first...

Due to my recent firewall problems I have decided to get a new network card 
to replace the one I think is faulty as I now know it's not the cable. Can 
anyone suggest a good card for about a tenner and a cheap shop in Sheffield 
to get it from?

Secondly...

I've just downloaded and configured the new kernel and now when I boot up X 
wont start. I have tried messing around with a few different configurations 
but I always get the same thing. Also, I have noticed that it can't load the 
PPP modules, any idea why? I have included the /var/log/X.... file which X 
created for you to ponder on and hopefully someone will be able to tell me 
what the problem is.
