FWIW:
My mobo is a QDI with a VIA 'Apollo Super' (VT82C686) chipset and a Duron 850
processor. The only problem I've had with it, is when trying to get an IDE
ZIP-drive to work - it really doesn't like it! I intend trying an update of
the BIOS, but haven't got round to it yet. The problem occurs when running
Linux /or/ Windows - so it's definitely a hard/firmware problem rather than
the software/drivers.
