True - NIC + SCSI + maybe video
I don't know if I want to stretch to a dual processor system this time
around - I've already got a dual PII system, and that's only because
it worked out cheaper than an equivalent uniprocessor system at the
time.
Still... :-)
I've not been able to find out if the Athlon XP is also SMP capable -
obviously the Athlon MP is the chip to have.
IIRC, they both use the Palomino core - but you never can tell with
these things.

More things to go wrong and more things to pay for, as far as I see
it - but I see your point, onboard video isn't such a bad thing for
server systems that are only going to have to display a console at
most.
