I suppose that it would be a good time to use the cliche, "It depends what
you want to use your computer for."
Say you want many mp3's, then it would be a good idea to have a partition for
just mp3s, allowing you to upgrade the system without overwriting your data
files, in any case its worth having a seperate storage partition for these
kinds of eventualities.
Perhaps you might like a seperate partition for games, you would have to
reinstall after an upgrade probably, but you would be sure that you wouldn't
overburden your hard-drive, although I somehow cant see that being a problem.
You might want to run wwwoffle which is a web-proxy cache type thing and
benfits from a certain type of file system which I cant recall right now.
That may well suit a partition, depending on what your usage is going to be.
All I'll say more is that if your as lucky as me you will always have made
the wrong choice.
(Hello to everyone on the list since I've not made myself heard for a while!)
