Use of the IEEE 802.11b standard in the 2.4GHz spectrum band is totally
legal in the UK as long as you are not charging for its use.  It is the
technology standard that underpins wireless home networking solutions
provided by Apple Airport, Buffalo Air Station, D-Link, Lucent Orinoco and
Netgear - equipment which is readily and legally available from many
reputable PC equipment suppliers.
