SO 6 seems to be a wee bit faster, but even that means waiting
for nearly 30 seconds (some 45 for OOffice), 256 Meg RAM, IDE 33 disk
(hdparm optimised and all that junk)... If you load it for a second time
after quitting it (and hence all the libraries are still cached), it
takes a less than 10 seconds. But the people at Sun say the software
hasn't been optimised yet.
Also, from the interview, it wasn't clear to me whether 6.0
final was going to be free or not. anyone know anything about this? But
maybe the chap meant the commercial license, and not the single user
license that most people use...
