There are a number of alternatives. When I was Membership Sec of the
Sheffield Steelers Supporters Club, we had a PO Box. It was a tin box in the
wall in the local sorting office. I went regularly and emptied it. PO Boxes
can also, for an additional charge, be redirected to a designated address,
so you could have one pointing at your home (a bit like a mail alias really
(in a valiant attempt to get this on-topic)).
