2.4.15-pre1 built ... and then OOPs'd then rebooted came back, and an hour or
two later, ping, telnet, ftp, traceroute, ssh all decided to cause a "Memory
Fault" on execution ... thus I thought networking were broke, but that
Mozilla and licq worked.
I'm back on 2.4.13 now ... oh and I was wrong about the other broken kernel
... I have a patch for 2.4.12 that fixes parport.c ... someone got a #define
wrong and promptly broke the module so it would build.
2.4.15 /should/ in theory have fixed most of the problems as Linus is handing
2.4 over, not to AC, but to Marcel (I think it was) to do the maintenance
after 2.4.15's been released, so expect 2.5 to open in the not too distant
future.
