Sounds like it's required.

I think the move to pre, then rc then final seems a little fancy -
just keep the last -pre for a bit longer than 6 hours like has been
happening recently, and all should be well.

I'm still on 2.4.13-ac3. I think I'll wait for a little while before
taking the dive to 2.4.16.
